Dear friends, You’re warmly invited to an evening of live blues with Doc Bowling & His Blues Professors, 7.30pm Saturday 28 March at the Temple of Art & Music, London.
For this special show we’re delighted to feature Johannes Bowling (saxophone) Mlle Chat Noir (violin) and Jens Skwirblies (keyboards) as well as the regulars Donnie Burke (guitar), Simon Minney (bass), Roger Chapman (drums) and Doc Bowling (guitar and lead vocal).
This concert will open the TAM Blues & Jazz Festival, a musical journey through the history of blues and jazz from the roots of the 1930s to the modern British scene.
Beginning with the acoustic traditions of early American blues, the festival traces the evolution of the music through jazz, swing and the British blues movement, culminating with legendary singer Dana Gillespie and the London Blues Band.
Set in the Temple of Art & Music in Elephant & Castle during its final season, the festival celebrates the venue that refused to disappear and instead became a global stage for artists and audiences from around the world.
