Praveen Morchhale (Widow of Silence) returns to the festival with his deceptively powerful political drama.
Set in Kashmir, we follow the journey of filmmaker Amir, whose short film gets banned after a complaint from a local religious leader, eventually leading to Amir’s arrest.
However his elderly mother Fatima is unwilling to stand by while her son is being silenced. She sets off on an arduous journey with her Yak and old cathode Philips TV and a DVD player to show his film in villages across the Himalayan Mountains.
