Before the cold weather starts to once again set in, we’ve decided to organise a sky watch to track the skies for anomalous activity On this occasion we’ll be heading to Adam’s Hill in the Clent Hills, a location we haven’t visited for a watch in a number of years. It’s a nice gradually sloping walk to the top, and the summit provides a wonderful view of the surrounding area.
The sky watch is free to attend, children and dogs most welcome. We will be meeting at the free parking area on Adam’s Hill at 7pm, a short time before the sun starts to set. We will then make our way up the hill, which should take about 10-15 minutes. Once at the top we will set up our base of operations, where we will remain till the early hours, weather permitting (although you are welcome to leave whatever time you wish).
If you are planning to attend be sure to dress in warm/waterproof clothing. A camping chair, binoculars and camera are all recommended. Some snacks will be provided but feel free to bring along your own food/drinks. BUFOG’s Chairman Dave will discuss some of the sightings which have occurred in the area over the years (some of which have been investigated directly by us).
