Join the Birmingham Lions Women’s American Football Team for our first 2026 recruitment session
Whether you’ve played sport your whole life or you’re trying something completely new, this is the perfect chance to give American Football a go in a fun, supportive environment. No experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

What to Expect:
– A relaxed taster session introducing the basics of American Football
– Position try outs for all body types and fitness levels
– Meet the coaching staff and current players
– A welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where beginners thrive
– A chance to find out more about our SPAR values: Sportsmanship, Pride, Accountability, Respect
Who Can Join:
– Ages 16+
– All fitness levels and sporting backgrounds welcome
What to Bring:
– Comfortable sportswear
– Boots or trainers
– Water
– Gumshield (optional for your first session)
