The South Street Community Hub is an initiative of Oasis Church, Birmingham. It exists to build connection and community for the people of Harborne through regular activities, such as its Friday night South Street Socials, as well as one-off events.
Board Games Cafés have become increasingly popular across the country in recent years places to connect with others, have fun together, and learn something new
These are all things that we are passionate about, and so the next South Street Social will be a board games café on Friday 18th September There are over 100 games in the South Street games library, featuring a huge variety to enjoy long and short, straightforward and complex, and suitable whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the table. Come along with a group of friends or sign up solo and join our Open Table’ to meet and play with others from the community. Our expert Games Masters will also be on hand to help you choose a game that’s right for your group and to explain rules, if needed.
Advance tickets cost £4 and are available via the link at the top of the event. Tickets cost £5 on the door, and £3 tickets are available for under-18s.
On the day, doors will be open from 7pm-11pm, and the evening will run drop-in style your ticket covers you for the full time. The Oasis Café will be open throughout, with fries, milkshakes, and other soft drinks and snacks available to purchase. You are also welcome to bring your own food and other drinks into the venue.
Car Parking
There is no car parking available at the church itself, but free parking is available on the surrounding streets. The York Street car park, B17 0HG, is five minutes’ walk away and costs £3 for four hours. Please do park considerately to help us be good neighbours in our community, including not parking up on the pavement on the church-side’ of South Street.
Accessibility
Due to building work taking place at South Street, there is currently no step-free access at this event. We are really sorry for this inconvenience. The accessible toilet is still available.
